Production Technologies

Production is based around a centrifugal, finished casting and moulding process. Single pieces and medium series of castings are produced. Typically sizes for workpieces reach an outer diameter of 1,200 mm with a gross weight of up to 1,5 t. Larger dimensions and bespoke designs are available upon request.

In addition to the induction furnaces and centrifugal casting machines. Liquid melt is also processed in sand molds, the molded parts can reach a gross weight of up to 1,500 kg.

Spectrographic analysis is carried out on each heat (charge). On request, determination of mechanical properties such as tensile strength, yield strength, elongation at break and hardness according to Brinell can be carried out.

A fully equipped turnery enables preliminary and final machining of the castings. The finishing process is carried out with CNC turning and milling machines, boring machines, wire cutting, grinding machines and water jet machines. In addition, dimensional inspections and reports can be carried out and prepared.

Centrifugal Casting Process

Pieces are produced with diameters from 20mm up to 1,200mm and weights from 500g up to 1.5 tonnes. Larger dimensions and bespoke designs are available upon request.

A large inventory of centrifugal castings, in different dimensions and alloys, are available for immediate delivery.

Moulding Process and Sand Casting

Manufacture of sliding and wear molds, pump housings and machining components is done using the mold casting process (traditional sand mold casting). Using this sand-casting process, we manufacture components with a piece weight of up to 1.5 MT gross weight. Larger dimensions and special designs are available on request.

A flow swirl mixer enables the filling of the mold boxes for the castings. For smaller individual pieces we use our hand-molding shop.

Continuous Casting Process

Many common dimensions and alloys from our extensive continuous casting bearing are available. A full range of pipes and bars (round, flat, square, hexagonal) are available and can be delivered in the length required up to a maximum length of 3m. In addition to all common alloys, we also produce pipes and bars in Cu-Zn-25-Al-5 and Cu-Sn-5-Zn-Pb Alloys, details are available upon request.

Finishing

Further processing is carried out in our conventional pre-turnery and pre-milling stations. The finishing process is carried out with CNC turning and milling machines, boring machines, wire cutting machines, grinding machines and water jet machines.

A comprehensive range of bushings / guide and bearing sleeves / solid bars / rings / slides / sliding bars and wear strips / washers / thrust washers / mechanical parts / pump casings / piston covers / parts with solid lubricant, maintenance-free sliding and sintered elements are available to meet our customer`s needs
